Our clients in Glasgow, Delaware approached us to renovate their kitchen from top-to-bottom. One of our certified kitchen designers, Heather Hill, created a custom design to meet their needs featuring beautiful new countertops, expansive storage space, and high-end appliances. The result produced a beautiful kitchen with just the right aesthetic and an efficient layout.
The cabinets were at the heart of the room design in this Glasgow, DE kitchen remodel, lining the room and providing plenty of storage space to keep all the necessary items tucked away. They were Showplace Pendleton cabinets with those along the perimeter of the room featuring a linen finish. In contrast, the cabinetry within the kitchen island has a sage green finish, providing a touch of color that enhances the room décor.
The Countertops & Appliances
For the countertops, featured in both the perimeter and the island, our clients choose Cambria Carlisle quartz surfacing in a beautiful grey color. The kitchen island countertops have a built-in sink and Danze faucet, installed across from the stove and oven for convenience and efficiency. A dishwasher is installed next to the sink to further improve functionality. A refrigerator resides on the other side of the island, near the bar stool seating area.
All appliances were manufactured by General Electric.
The tile we agreed upon for this Glasgow, DE kitchen remodel project made a significant impact on room décor, providing unique visual interest amidst the lighter colored cabinetry and countertops.
For the flooring, we used Easywood Wenge Garden State tile. We found that its dark, wooden look provides the perfect contrast to the rest of the room design, completing the look of the kitchen.
The backsplash, on the other hand, features a combination of Renaissance Navona, Beige Mix Square, and Dorset Sand Rope Listel. Together, these tiles create a kitchen backsplash with a unique pattern and color combination, installed just above the stove top and along the perimeter of the room. It perfectly complements the surrounding cabinets and countertops and helps lead the eye around the room.
