Transitional Kitchen & Bath Remodel in Newark, DE

Posted on: September 10, 2015

Our clients in Newark, Delaware desired a transitional kitchen and bathroom remodel to match the architectural style of the rest of their home. The focus of the project was on the complete look and feel of the kitchen, and in the bathroom, it emphasized the vanity.

The end result features splashes of color and unique tiling patterns that give these highly functional spaces unique visual interest.

The Kitchen Design

For this transitional kitchen remodel in Newark, our designers sought to provide our clients with a complete overhaul of the existing room. The cabinets in particular were a major focal point. We used Showplace Sonoma cabinetry with a soft cream satin finish for the perimeter of the room and a black matte finish for the kitchen island. Sienna Bordeaux granite countertops perfectly complement the cabinetry design.

We also installed sleek and modern appliances to add a modern touch to this transitional kitchen remodel. New appliances included:

  • Wolf convection steam oven
  • Single oven
  • Cooktop
  • Range hood
  • Warming drawer
  • Sub Zero refrigerator
  • Asko dishwasher

A Garden State tile backsplash adds unique visual interest, while blue lighting provides a splash of color in a one-of-a-kind way. Armstrong Alterna flooring and Top Knobs hardware complete this transitional kitchen in style.

The Bar & Pantry Design

We also created a bar and pantry design to accompany the transitional kitchen remodel for our Newark clients. A closet hosts this area, featuring Timberlake Capistrano maple cabinets in an espresso finish, complete with Top Knobs hardware. Sienna Bordeaux granite countertops match those in the kitchen, extending the look and feel of the transitional kitchen design into this space.

A Sub Zero wine chiller is ideal for entertaining at home, with wine glasses hanging down from the cabinets above them for easy accessibility.

The Bathroom Design

For this Newark, DE transitional bathroom remodel, we focused our efforts on revitalizing the vanity. The finished result features Decora Prescott cherry cabinets with a Pheasant finish to perfectly match our clients’ furniture in the attached master bedroom.

The bathroom vanity countertop was built from Cambria quartz in the Bradshaw color. An under mount sink was built into the design.

Like in the kitchen, Top Knobs hardware offers the finishing touch.

“Although we have given this project a rating of 10 in all areas, we would like to give our thanks and appreciation to our designer Joel and installer Andrew (and crew) for the excellent job they did in remodeling our bath.  It was truly a pleasure working with them from beginning to end."
