About Silestone

Silestone is a compound made of natural quartz, which makes it extraordinarily hard and resilient. Silestone is the one and only countertop surface made of quartz with bacteriostatic protection, giving it hygienic properties that aren’t found anywhere else on the market. It is an excellent surface for kitchen countertops, bathrooms, floors, and wall cladding, using the minimum number of joints. In addition, it comes in a variety of different colors, offering a number of decorative possibilities from a single kitchen countertop to projects throughout the home. Silestone is an investment in the future. Silestone is forever.

Quartz is crystallized silicon dioxide (SiO2), which is usually white or transparent, although it can be found in other colors if it comes into contact with impurities during its formation. Because of its extreme hardness and resistance to acids, it is used to make a large variety of products that require precision and top-quality performance. This type of quartz forms the main component in Silestone boards.

Silestone Color Evolution

First introduced 20 years ago in 12 original colors, Silestone has continued to evolve its color palette and now has more than 50 color selections. Each color is carefully designed and formulated to be aesthetically pleasing while matching the most current trends in fashion and style.

Silestone colors vary in hue, from the most subtle neutral shades to the brilliant and dynamic tones. Silestone has also reinvented its spectrum of patterns, from its solid, homogeneous patterns to its color selections filled with movement with various sizes of quartz gemstone particulates and other enhancement materials.

Benefits of Silestone Countertops

Silestone is ideal for countertops for a variety of reasons, one of the biggest being its maintenance-free qualities! Because it is non-porous, Silestone does not need to be sealed, unlike other materials like granite, marble, and limestone.  Silestone is highly resistant to stains from coffee, wine, lemon juice, oil, vinegar, makeup, and many other common household products.  If that is not enough, Silestone has four times the flexural strength of granite, making it less susceptible to chipping and cracking during transportation and installation.

Other benefits of Silestone countertops include their:

  • Natural beauty
  • Versatility
  • Resistance to scratching
  • Resistance to scorching (Silestone will withstand limited exposure to heat without burning or scorching!)
  • Widespread availability

Silestone natural quartz surfaces result from a tightly controlled process to ensure reliable performance, color consistency, and ultimate durability! Silestone is backed with a limited 15-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Customer Testimonials See What People Are Saying

“Although we have given this project a rating of 10 in all areas, we would like to give our thanks and appreciation to our designer Joel and installer Andrew (and crew) for the excellent job they did in remodeling our bath.  It was truly a pleasure working with them from beginning to end."
