Choosing Your New Bathroom Tub

Our designers can help you to choose your tub by matching the tub design with its purpose. Like a complete bathroom remodel, it all starts with deciding on the size of your new bathtub project. Do you want to remodel the tub for a master bath, or are you looking for a new tub for your family bath?

Tubs for Your Master Bathroom

We can help you to find a large whirlpool bathtub to fit the shape of your bathroom, your style, and your budget. Jacuzzis are the perfect choice for a bathtub remodel in your master bathroom. They come in many shapes, such as:

  • Oval
  • Rectangular
  • Corner

They also have five different styles, from a standalone tub to a drop-in tub to walk in!

Tubs for Your Family or Guest Bathroom

When choosing a bathtub, one frequently asked question about bathtubs is the material type.

When cost is your main consideration, enamel is the best option. Enamel is made from a stamped piece of steel with a porcelain finish, so it is easy to maintain and is easy to clean since it is resistant to most chemicals and abrasive cleaners.

Gelcoat is another inexpensive option, although abrasive cleaners cannot be used for cleaning it. Gelcoat is less durable than other choices because it is a material applied to a mold that is then attached to fiberglass.

Acrylic tubs are light and durable making them a good choice for a family bath. Made from thicker plastic than gelcoat, acrylic tubs are both flexible and can retain heat, which is the same reason whir pools and air baths are also acrylic.

One other option is cast iron. They are expensive because the materials and the labor are costly. Even though they are an expensive choice, they are durable and likely will never be dented or scratched.

Bathtub Fixtures and Features

Don’t forget about the fixtures to add that extra touch to any bathtub installation! Bath, Kitchen and Tile Center uses only high quality bathtub fixtures like Delta taps, faucets, and shower heads. We can help you select from Delta’s large line of well-made, stylish fixtures are made for a classic or modern home design.
